Sony with the advent of Playstation 4 will try to introduce some innovative technologies such as eye tracking system. Sony patented eye tracking technology that may be being used in the Playstation 4, what does this mean for gamers?
If a technology will be on the market, you will be able to control events on the TV screen using your head moving, eyeball movements and blinking with your eyes. We will be able to access the menu by blinking, you may also be able to move the cursor on the TV screen running his vision.
The problem in this technology is that we have put eyeglasses on our head, and here it may be uncomfortable for some person, you can not put glasses for glasses, it’s a minus for person who use a prescription glasses.
Another problem is the material making up the glasses and the fact that they produce a magnetic field which in turn can harm our eyes, maybe(?). (ferromagnetic material, including neodymium-iron-boron, FeCoB, FeCoNiB, an alloy material comprising iron, nickel and/or cobalt, at least one element selected from the group consisting of Fe (iron), Co (cobalt), Ni (nickel), Ti (titanium), Zn (zinc), Cr (chrome), V (vanadium), Mn (manganese), Sc (scandium), and Cu (copper)).
The very idea seems to be good but in the long run can be tiring for our eyes, and it would be better if it had not entered into the basic composition of the Playstation 4 and was the only addition.
Better solution for Sony is production normal projection glasses that will simulate VR technology, plus electronic glove for operations, something like that on the screen.
